OK Beginner Puzzle Book.

You get 100 puzzles with solutions in the back of the book. Puzzles are from recent (2000-2003) named tournament games. Puzzles 1-29 are easy Mate in 1. Most of the rest are Mate in 2 moves, some easy, some slightly harder. This is a beginner puzzle book which requires only basic chess knowledge. I found 1 error in solution # 45; otherwise this book is well done. I think the only issue I have with this book is there is only one puzzle per page. It could have easily been at least 2 per page for a better value.

A nice book, But it could be better.
First off there are some problems in the book marked "look for 2 ways or look for 3 ways" and you'll find 3 or even 4 ways and there not listed, You'll even find 2 or 3 answers on puzzels that should have only one.
Second, Every puzzle starts with white to move, Lets change it up a little, How about Black to move, Mate in two.
That being said I did enjoy this book, Some puzzles were just too easy and some stumped me for a time.
This book is written for beginners and I would recomend it to such, If not for the errors I would have given this book 4 stars.

Don't wait, buy these NOW.

I just got these in today and they are amazing. I'm SO glad I didn't cancel the pre-order because I already had them separately. The originals don't compare in my opinion, unless you got one of the collector editions of Beedle the Bard. The first thing you notice when unwrapping them is how sturdy the set is. The box is well made and covered in a textured paper that simulates canvas fabric with Gold printing on it. As you pull the books out, they are made of the same solid quality and textured paper and are each a different color. The spines have the gold printing too for the titles. The text in the books seems to be intact from the original releases of these books and is impressive as always. I had purchased these for our baby girl on the way but I think they will sit on my shelf next to the Harry Potter first editions because they are THAT nice. I still might pick up a 2nd set for playtime because they really have that feel of actual schoolbooks. If you have a Harry Potter fanatic in your life, grab a set, they will adore it!!

Wonderful nostalgia for Harry Potter fans

This collection is a must-have for hardcore Potter fans and anyone who wants to prolong the magic. To begin with, they are beautifully made and of good quality. The paper of the pages feels just like that of the original Harry Potter books, and overall the books are bound well and don't seem cheap. The covers are definitely something I'd expect to see at the Hogwarts Library: they are attractive primary colors and jewel-toned, staying with the Harry Potter theme.

As for the contents of the books, they're quick reads but they give tons of extra information on the wizarding world. Don't expect too much on Harry Potter himself, but you'll learn a lot about his world. Reading these books feels like the first day Harry walked into Diagon Alley. The best book is the one about Beedle the Bard, because it contains full stories of legends referenced in the books. It also has papers added into it, written by Dumbledore, giving insight into Dumbledore's mind and personality. Magical Beasts is peppered with notes from Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Fabulous! Everyone should make this part of their personal library!
The Army Yearbooks are great resources for Corps Officers, Soldiers, etc. Anyone who is interested in what The Salvation Army is doing today around the world will find these to be a great tool for telling the stories. I have often used the Yearbooks for World Service presentations, Corps newsletters, etc.
Not everyone is able to go to International Congresses and witness the diversity of our Army, but the Yearbook helps to see that in the Army world we have much in common to celebrate including our diversity.

Probably one of the best short, cheap, books you'd ever buy.

Took me about 45 minutes to read. After I read it, I dived right into the next 300 page book on my list. Wasn't confident the techniques I just learned would work, but I followed the directions precisely anyway. I was shocked to lift my head up 2 1/2 hours later finished with the book! Not only that, but understanding and remembering what I just read! This is big for me. It use to take me days to finish a 300-400 page book. I also realized I was already using some of the techniques in this book but had no direction or confidence. Now I do! Thank you so very much for this short book, yet one of the best purchases of my life! P.S. I am 30 and suffer from dyslexia, having realized my condition had a name until recently. I've already improved my reading and comprehension abilities on my own over the years, but I wanted to get better. And it only took my 45 mins.

Took 30 minutes to read and gave a very pragmatic approach to reading books extremely quickly with maximum comprehension. I have always had trouble finishing books because I get caught up in the details, but the author gives a clear process to obtain the major concepts in any book, whether it be fiction, non-fiction, or technical writing.
